Draining or pouring liquids can build up static electricity in containers. Static sparks can cause explosion and fire. That's why OSHA requires bonding and grounding of drums, pails, and safety cans containing liquids with flashpoint below 100º F. Stainless steel cables are 7x19 stranded – the ultimate in flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance. Unlike cheaper steel wires, stainless cables are inherently sparkproof. They can be used outdoors and with strong chemicals.
