 Tight-Head Drum Mixers

Tight sealing bung-entering mixer prevents evaporation during mixing

  • 316 Stainless steel shaft with collapsible propellers
  • Threads into standard 2" NPS bung opening in 55 gallon steel drums
  • Available in direct-drive (1725 and 0-3000 RPM) or gear-drive (425 RPM) models

 

Series 91 agitators provide a nearly air tight seal by threading directly into standard 2" NPT bung hole. The mount is permanently angled to achieve the optimum mixing position. Collapsible propellers allow for easy installation, unfold to the diameters specified in the table below. Props are attached to a 5/8" diameter x 34" long 316 stainless steel shaft. Direct drive models are ideal for thinner liquids. Gear-drive models handle thicker liquids.

TEFC Motor (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) is 115-230V, 1-Phase, ships complete with cord, plug, and on/off switch.

EP Motor (Explosion-Proof) is 115-230V, 1-Phase and does not include a cord, plug or on/off switch.

Air motor is inherently explosion-proof, rated at 60 PSI, 3,000 RPM @ 5-30 CFM.

Folding propellers mix completely in tight-head and open head drums

  • 2" Bung adapter for 55 gallon tight-head steel drums
  • C-Clamp mount for 55 gallon open-head steel drums
  • Electric, variable speed electric, explosion-proof electric, and air motors
  • 316 stainless steel shaft and 3-blade collapsible propellers are standard

 

Series 90 mixers offer a 2" NPT bung-mount for tight-head drums and an infinitely adjustable ball & socket clamp mount for precise positioning on open head drums. Lightweight and portable, these mixers are well suited for a variety of applications. Investment cast 316SS 3-Blade folding propellers fit through the 2” bung and open to the diameters specified in the table below. Props are adjustable and removable and fit on the mixers 1/2" diameter x 34" long 316 stainless steel shaft.

Series 44 mixers incorporate a smaller ball & socket type c-clamp for precise positioning of the mixer shaft with infinite adjustability. Lightweight and portable, these mixers are well suited for a variety of applications. Adjustable and removable 3-blade propellers are solid investment cast 316SS and fit on a 1/2" diameter x 34" long 316SS shaft.

    Economical mixing of very high viscosity liquids

    • For extra heavy liquids in tight-head drums
    • Mixes viscous liquids up to 32,000 cps
    • 316 stainless steel shaft and propeller

     

    Special combination of propeller blades provides thorough mixing of extremely viscous liquids. Triple blade propeller shaft enters through and screws into 2" NPS bung opening.

    H-Series Mixers handle viscosities up to 8,000 cps, have three 2-blade props.  

    HGS-series mixers handle viscosities up to 32,000 cps have three 2-blade fixed props and one 3 3/4 " folding prop, gear drive 430 RPM motor.

    TEFC motor (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled), 1725 RPM, 1-phase 115/230 volt.

    Explosion proof motor Class1, Group D, 1725 RPM, single-phase 115/230 volt.

    Air Motors 1/4 HP with 10 CFM @ 20 psi, 1/2 HP with 20 CFM @ 40 psi and 3/4 HP with 30 CFM @ 25 psi, 1 hp with 40 CFM @ 35 psi.

    		 Portable Stand Brings the Mixer to the Job
  • Fits any heavy-duty clamp-mount mixer
  • Manual and power lift models

    • Rugged mixer stands accept drums or tanks up to 48" diameter. Will support mixers up to 200 pounds. Constructed of heavy gauge carbon steel plate and square tubing with two fixed and two swivel casters with floor locks for easy mobility and stable operation.

    Manual Lift raises mixer in 1" increments, locks in place with clevis pin.

    Winch Lift uses hand operated cable and pulley winch to raise and lower mixer. Self-activating brake will hold mixer at desired height when handle is released.

    Electric Lift has 115 volt AC, 1-phase gear motor. Uses cable and pulley system to lift mixer. Includes cord with 3-prong plug and remote control. Not intended for hazardous locations.

    Air Lift uses pneumatic cylinder to raise and lower mixer. Supplied with up-down-neutral air control and quick-disconnect fitting for air hose.

    Designed to handle medium viscosity liquids, these powerful direct-drive mixers are mounted on a standard 55 gallon carbon steel unlined drum cover. Shaft and propellers are made of 316 stainless steel.

    TEFC Motor (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) 1-Phase, 115/230V, supplied with cord, plug and switch.

    Explosion Proof Motor (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) 1-Phase, 115/230V, supplied with motor lead only (no cord, plug or switch).

    Air Motor Variable Speed, 300-3,000 RPM, supplied with speed control valve and muffler. For maximum HP and RPM output, the ¾ HP requires 30 CFM @ 100 PSI, 1-1/2 HP requires 72 CFM @ 100 PSI, 4 HP requires 130 CFM @ 100 PSI.

    BIG job mixers with integral cover to prevent splashing and vapor loss

    • Ideal for vigorous mixing of heavy-bodied coatings and slurries
    • Fits open-head 55 gallon steel drums and tanks with drum-type openings
    • 316 stainless steel shaft 3/4" x 32" with two 3-blade propellers

    Gear-drive drum lid mixers are ideal for vigorous mixing of heavy-bodied coatings, epoxies, mud, plaster coatings and slurries. Built around a 5:1 ratio gear box, these mixers have the extra power and high torque necessary for all tough drum and tank mixing jobs. They are portable and shipped complete including a heavy-duty steel drum lid.

    TEFC Motor (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) 1-Phase, 115/230V, supplied with a cord and 3-prong plug, and a switch.

    EP Motor (Explosion Proof) 1-Phase, 115/230V, supplied with motor leads only.  

    Air Motor has a speed control valve. DLG-1A 72 CFM @ 100 PSI,  DLG-4A 130 CFM @ 100 PSI.
