     Tempco flexible drum heaters are the economical choice for heating liquids in drums or pails. Vulcanized 3-layer silicone rubber construction is reinforced with fiberglass, making it tough, long lasting, and resistant to a wide range of chemicals. Non-stick silicone rubber surface is easy to clean. 120 volt models are supplied with 6’ cord with standard three-pronged plug. 240 volt models have a 6’ cord without plug. When not in use, the heater can be rolled for convenient storage. Use one heater on the lower third of the drum or pail or attach more heaters to the container to increase wattage and speed up the heating process.

SDH Series Heaters are not for use with plastic drums and pails or drums and pails that contain a removable plastic liner.

Caution: Allowing liquid in a container to fall below the level of the heater will render the heater ineffective and could irreparably damage the baked on epoxy phenolic lining in lined steel drums and pails.

Important: Containers with an outer diameter ± ½” the O.D. listed in the table require a custom made heater. 240V heaters for 5 gal. pails, 15 & 30 gallon drums and heaters without thermostats are also available by special order. Call Customer Service at 1.800.776.3786 for details.

Don't take chances! Flammable materials demand the right heater!

Quality silicone rubber and fiberglass drum heater is moisture-proof for durable long life. Simple spring and hook fastener for easy installation and removal. Adjustable dual set-point temperature controller assembly has a 6’ cord with a standard 120V NEMA 5-15 plug. One set-point is set at a high temperature limit and connected to a red indicator light.

High limit cut-out limits band temperature to 80% of "T" rating, the auto-ignition temperature of the flammable product (National Electrical Code Article 501). Heaters for 30 gallon drums and different voltages are available by special order. Call Customer Service at 1.800.776.3786 for details.
