     Thermosafe Induction Drum Heater is a super-efficient drum heater that never makes contact with the drum and provides fast uniform heating. Copper induction coil housed inside a heavy duty fiberglass shell transfers energy directly to the drum 50% more efficiently than band heaters or bankets. Typical temperature rise: 25° F per hour. The heater is open on both the top and bottom, and is simply lowered over the drum, or the drum can be lowered into the heater. Easy-to-clean, corrosion-proof and maintenance free will keep performing for years. Operates on 240 volt AC, 2250 watts total. Self-limiting drum wall temperature means additional controls are not normally required. Two wire leads, no plug.

Optional Powerlink Energy Regulator can be used where slower heating rates and limits are required.

Optional Rigid Hat or Soft Hat is used to keep heat from escaping and, therefore, reducing the time it takes to heat the drum.

Faratherm Induction Base Heater can be used in conjuction with the Thermosafe induction steel drum heater to reduce the heating time required to melt product when connected to a 240V outlet to produce a max. temp. of 253° F.* It is important to note that the Faratherm makes contact with the container placed on it and its painted metal heating plate gets hot. The Faratherm may also be used independently with any isze steel, plastic, stainless steel, or cardboard container up to 24" dia. but lower temperatures are necessary for heating plastic or cardboard and the Faratherm must be wired for 120V to produce a max. temp. of 127° F. Power consumption is 7A/500W at 240V. Two wire leads, No plug.

Note: IECEx and ATEX are European directives that describe what equipment and what type of work is allowed in an environment with an explosive atmosphere.

     DigiHeat Base Heater utilizes a resistive heating element and can be used independently or in conjunction with the THERM55 Thermosafe induction drum heater or with heating jacket 55-HJ in NON-HAZARDOUS SAFE AREAS. Built in digital thermostat. Operates on 240V. Power consumption is 3.5A/850W. Two wire leads, no plug.

Puts all the heat exactly in the right spot

“Cold riser" design concentrates heat at the bottom of the drum. Powerful 5000 watt drum heater has built-in thermostat that controls temperature between 70º F and 250º F.  A minimum liquid level of 10" above the bottom heating coil is required. Risers are 36" high with a 19” diameter heating coil.

Supplied without a cord or plug and must be wired according to local electrical code. Operating instructions and a wiring diagram are included with each heater. This heater is for use with water-based solutions and must not be used with flammable or oil based liquids.

Puts the heat right into the product!

• Improves flow of viscous liquids
• 60 - 250° F thermostat with over-temperature cutout

Immersion heaters put the heat right into the liquid for the most efficient heating. Only 4" of riser is heated, allowing liquid level to fluctuate without damaging the heater. Fits through 2" bung opening in steel 55 gallon drums. Adjustable mounting bracket positions the heater away from the drum wall and above sludge buildup at the bottom of the drum. Pilot light indicates whether heater is cycled on or off. All heaters are single-phase and have NEMA 1 control housings.

No cord or plug is provided - consult your local electric code for the proper wiring techniques for the environment in which the heater will be used. Operating instructions and a wiring diagram are included with each heater.

Put efficient heating power into your pails

• Pail heater concentrates heat at bottom of 5-gallon steel pails 
• Polished 316 stainless steel heating element sheath

“Cold Riser” design hangs over the edge of the pail. Heating elements are contained in coil section to concentrate heat at the bottom of the vessel. For use with water-based solutions and must not be used with flammable or oil based liquids. Standard thermostat adjusts 70º - 250º F. Supplied with 6' cord with standard 3-prong plug. Optional 120º - 570º F adjustable thermostat and 230V model are available by special order.

Note: Requires a liquid level of 5” minimum above the bottom heating coil.

Heater/Cooler units have embossed channels for steam, hot or cold water, or refrigerant*, All welded 18/16 gauge carbon steel construction with smooth inner panel for efficient heat transfer. Features quick acting toggle clamp for easy installation and removal and an insulated handle for safe handling. A single section unit will heat a 55 gallon steel closed drum from 60° F to 160° F in 4 hours using 150 psig steam.  1/2" IPS (iron pipe size) female inlet and outlet pipe couplings. Multi-section units are supplied already piped together.

Hinged-Back Style has a continuous hinge at the back of the unit for easy installation and removal.

Slip-Over Style has a continuous jacket that is designed to slip over the top of a container. Expandable opening at one end has a toggle style clamp to secure the unit in place.

Drum Cradle Style is available in carbon steel only. It has a heavy steel pipe frame and three half sections of heating/cooling channels. Cradle unit will heat a closed, properly ventilated 55 gallon steel drum of water from 60° F to 160° F in approximately 2 1/2 hours using 150 psig steam. The cradle unit is equipped with a 3/4" MPT (male pipe thread) inlet and outlet.

Immersion Style is designed to come in contact with the liquid it is to heat or cool by placing it directly into a 55 gallon drum. 3/4" MPT connections standard on units without hoses. Maximum operating steam pressure without the use of hoses is 250 psig and with 3/4" I.D. x 42" steam hoses, 200 psig working pressure at 380° F. Not available with painted finish.

Hoses, if included, are steam hoses made of rubber with wire braid reinforcement.

Carbon Steel Models have a light coating of oil on the exterior surface to help prevent rust.

Painted Carbon Steel Models have a royal blue exterior, baked on, painted finish for more substantial rust prevention.

Stainless Steel Models are made of stainless steel platecoil.

*If using refrigerant, please notify your BASCO Customer Service Representative. Plain end pipes or socket weld fittings will replace standard couplings at no extra charge.

No need to wait for heat - just drop in!

Delivers fast and even heat. Heavy fiberglass insulation directs heat into the pail. Thermostat has pilot light and a "hurry-up" switch that overrides the thermostat to provide fast heat start-up. 12" inside diameter, 9-3/4" depth.  Supplied with 8' cord and three-prong plug. Not for use with plastic pails or in flammable areas.

          Unique and versatile heater drum dolly is designed for non-flammable, non-hazardous materials and for indoor use only. Unit has a 15-1/4" square aluminum heating platen for efficient heat transfer. Adjustable infinite control switches on and off to prevent improper heat build-up.

These heaters do not have a thermostat and will not automatically reach and hold a given temperature. Dolly rolls on four 3" diameter phenolic swivel casters. 28-1/2" outside diameter x 24" inside diameter x 6" high. Supplied with 6' pull chain and 6' power cord with a NEMA plug.
