Regulate the temperature of industrial materials with powerblanket® uniform heat spreading technology. Heats up faster, cools down slower, and uses considerably less electricity than conventional band heaters. Heaters have a built-in thermostat designed to reach the heaters maximum temperature and to maintain that temperature (please note: temps may vary +/- 10 degrees F depending on outside ambient conditions). powerblanket® drum and pail heaters are equipped with adjustable straps to ensure proper fit of containers that may be slightly larger and smaller than the container size the heater is designed to fit. Heaters come ready to use. Unroll, wrap around your barrel, and plug into any 120V outlet. Optional Adjustable thermostatic controller, PBL-THERMO, overrides the built-in thermostat. It allows the user to set the desired temperature to ensure the material contained in the drum or pail is never over or under heated. Note: Thermostat cannot be adjusted higher than the preset maximum temperature of the heater.

The powerblanket IBC/tote heaters are flexible wrap around surface heaters that deliver a barrier of heat to temperature sensitive materials. They fit nearly every standard IBC/tote tank, utilizing adjustable nylon straps. Adjustable thermostatic controller, PBL-THERMO, comes standard with all powerblanket IBC/tote heaters. 1,050 W, 8.75 amps. Heaters arrive ready-to-use. Plugs into a standard 120V outlet.

Note: When heating a plastic IBC/Tote, do not operate above 160 degree F.

Tote tank/IBCs containing slow moving product such as honey, molasses, or lube oil can be difficult to dispense, especially when stored in a cool area or when winter strikes. Once the product is heated, dispensing becomes manageable. The Wrap-Around blanket design allows the tote tank/IBC to be heated in a non-invasive manner and will not contaminate or scorch product. Constructed of silicone impregnated cloth facing and liner filled with 1/4" fiberglass insulation, the heater blanket is held in place with adjustable nylon straps with buckles (2 across the top and 3 around the tank). Includes a "mouse hole" designed for spigot accessibility and a 6' power cord with standard plug: 120VAC - NEMA 5-15 or 240VAC - MEMA 6-15. An optional insulated top cover is available for faster heat-up and efficient temperature maintenance.

Durable heaters install instantly with spring-loaded toggle clamp and spread heat over the entire heater surface.  Drum and pail heaters have internal fiberglass insulation (except LIMD55-115). Choice of three heating controls.  All are equipped with neon pilot light and 6' power cord and are warranted for one year. Units are not moisture-proof or explosion-proof. Not for use with flammables or near a flammable area. For indoor use only. UL-Listed and CSA certified.

Thermostat Control with Three-Heat Switch designed for use on steel drums and pails with materials with good heat receptivity. Thermostat bulb senses temperature in an area distant from the heating elements. Three-heat switch allows three wattage ranges per thermostat setting.

Infinite (Variable) Control with Three-Heat Switch designed for use on steel drums and pails with materials that are subject to charring, burning or separation, such as food, chocolate, honey, light oils, and undercoating materials. These heaters do not have a thermostat and will not automatically reach and hold a given temperature. Infinite control operates within each of three wattage ranges for closer heat control.

Plastic Drum Heater with Pre-Set (Non-adjustable) Thermostat designed for heating materials in high density polyethylene drums and pails. Thermostat is factory set; will not exceed the maximum plastic-safe temperature of 165 degrees F recommended by many plastic drum manufacturers. Simple on-off power control.

AGM, TRX and SRX series are not for use with lined steel drums or plastic drums.

Note: NEMA plug 5-15 P is a standard three prong plug.

Tempco flexible drum heaters are the economical choice for heating viscous liquids stored in a drum or pail. The heaters are built to be tough, long lasting, and resistant to chemicals. Few materials stick to the heater's silicone rubber fiberglass reinforced construction, making it easy to clean. Use one heater on the lower third of the drum or pail or attach more heaters to the container to increase wattage and speed up the heating process. A six foot cord with three-pronged plug is included with 120V heaters. No plug is included with 240V heaters. When not in use, the heater can be rolled for convenient storage.

Note: 240V heaters for 5 gal. pails, 15 & 30 gallon drums, and heaters without thermostats are available by special order.

Puts the heat right into the product!

Immersion heaters put the heat right into the liquid for the most efficient heating. Only 8" of riser is heated, allowing liquid level to fluctuate without damaging the heater. Fits through 2" bung opening in steel 55 gallon drums. Adjustable mounting bracket positions the heater away from the drum wall and above sludge buildup at the bottom of the drum. Pilot light indicates whether heater is cycled on or off. All heaters are single-phase and have NEMA 1 control housings. No cord or plug is included - consult your local electric code for the proper wiring techniques for the environment in which the heater will be used.

Safely heat flammable liquids in steel drums. Quality silicone rubber and fiberglass drum heater is moisture-proof for durable long life. Simple spring and hook fastener for easy installation and removal. Thermostat assembly has 10' cord with NEMA 5 – 15 plug. High limit cut-off limits band temperature to 80% of "T" rating, the auto-ignition temperature of the flammable product, as referred to in National Electrical Code Article 501. Specify "T" rating when ordering (T3 or T4A). T3 allows surface temperature up to 292° F. T4A allows surface temperature up to 158° F. These heaters operate on 120 volts AC and are available as 240 volt AC. Hazardous heaters are also available for 30 gallon steel drums as 120 volt and 240 volt AC .

Put efficient heating power into your pails

“Cold Riser” design hangs over the edge of the pail. Heating elements are contained in coil section to concentrate heat at the bottom of the vessel. For use with water-based solutions and must not be used with flammable or oil based liquids. Standard thermostat adjusts 70º - 250º F. Supplied with 6' cord with standard 3-prong plug. Optional 120º - 570º F adjustable thermostat and 230V model are available by special order.

Note: Requires a liquid level of 5” minimum above the bottom heating coil.

An efficient method of temperature elevation, freeze protection and viscosity control of non-hazardous materials. Blanket is 33 3/4" tall, fits 22 1/2" diameter 55 gallon drums. Knitted heating elements are located in the lower third of the blanket to avoid overheating of partially filled drums. Wrap-around blanket is filled with high density fiberglass with VELCRO® closure for quick installation, has silicone-impregnated surface to resist chemicals and moisture. Drum Heater has built-in digital thermostat. Equipped with 6' cord. 240 volt heaters are not supplied with a plug. Insulating Drum Blanket does not have built-in heating elements; can be used over any silicone rubber heater.

Heater/Cooler units have embossed channels for steam, hot or cold water, or refrigerant*. All welded 18/16 gauge carbon steel construction with smooth inner panel for efficient heat transfer. Features quick acting toggle clamp for easy installation and removal and an insulated handle for safe handling. A single section unit will heat a 55 gallon steel closed drum from 60 degrees F to 160 degrees F in 4 hours using 150 psig steam. 1/2" IPS (iron pipe size) female inlet and outlet pipe couplings. Multi-section units are supplied already piped together. Hinged-Back Style has a continuous hinge at the back of the unit for easy installation and removal. Slip-Over Style has a continuous jacket that is designed to slip over the top of a container. Expandable opening at one end has a toggle style clamp to secure the unit in place. Drum Cradle Style is available in carbon steel only. It has a heavy steel pipe frame and three half sections of heating/cooling channels. Cradle unit will heat a closed, properly ventilated 55 gallon steel drum of water from 60 degrees F to 160 degrees F in approximately 2 1/2 hous using 150 psig steam. The cradle unit is equipped with a 3/4" MPT (male pipe thread) inlet and outlet. Immersion Style is designed to come in contact with the liquid it is to heat or cool by placing it directly into a 55 gallon drum. 3/4" MPT connections standard on units without hoses. Maximum operating steam pressure without the use of hoses is 250 psig and with 3/4" I.D. x 42" steam hoses, 200 psig working pressure at 380 degrees. Not available in zinc metalized steel. Hoses, if included, are steam hoses made of rubber with wire braid reinforcement. Carbon Steel Models have a light coating of oil on the exterior surface to help prevent rust. Zinc Metalized Steel Models have an exterior zinc coating for more substantial rust prevention. Stainless Steel Models are made of stainless steel platecoil.
