Regulate the temperature of industrial materials with powerblanket® uniform heat spreading technology. Heats up faster, cools down slower, and uses considerably less electricity than conventional band heaters. Heaters have a built-in thermostat designed to reach the heaters maximum temperature and to maintain that temperature (please note: temps may vary +/- 10 degrees F depending on outside ambient conditions). powerblanket® drum and pail heaters are equipped with adjustable straps to ensure proper fit of containers that may be slightly larger and smaller than the container size the heater is designed to fit. Heaters come ready to use. Unroll, wrap around your barrel, and plug into any 120V outlet. Optional Adjustable thermostatic controller, PBL-THERMO, overrides the built-in thermostat. It allows the user to set the desired temperature to ensure the material contained in the drum or pail is never over or under heated. Note: Thermostat cannot be adjusted higher than the preset maximum temperature of the heater.

The powerblanket IBC/tote heaters are flexible wrap around surface heaters that deliver a barrier of heat to temperature sensitive materials. They fit nearly every standard IBC/tote tank, utilizing adjustable nylon straps. Adjustable thermostatic controller, PBL-THERMO, comes standard with all powerblanket IBC/tote heaters. 1,050 W, 8.75 amps. Heaters arrive ready-to-use. Plugs into a standard 120V outlet.

Note: When heating a plastic IBC/Tote, do not operate above 160 degree F.

Tote tank/IBCs containing slow moving product such as honey, molasses, or lube oil can be difficult to dispense, especially when stored in a cool area or when winter strikes. Once the product is heated, dispensing becomes manageable. The Wrap-Around blanket design allows the tote tank/IBC to be heated in a non-invasive manner and will not contaminate or scorch product. Constructed of silicone impregnated cloth facing and liner filled with 1/4" fiberglass insulation, the heater blanket is held in place with adjustable nylon straps with buckles (2 across the top and 3 around the tank). Includes a "mouse hole" designed for spigot accessibility and a 6' power cord with standard plug: 120VAC - NEMA 5-15 or 240VAC - MEMA 6-15. An optional insulated top cover is available for faster heat-up and efficient temperature maintenance.

Durable heaters install instantly with spring-loaded toggle clamp and spread heat over the entire heater surface.  Drum and pail heaters have internal fiberglass insulation (except LIMD55-115). Choice of three heating controls.  All are equipped with neon pilot light and 6' power cord and are warranted for one year. Units are not moisture-proof or explosion-proof. Not for use with flammables or near a flammable area. For indoor use only. UL-Listed and CSA certified.

Thermostat Control with Three-Heat Switch designed for use on steel drums and pails with materials with good heat receptivity. Thermostat bulb senses temperature in an area distant from the heating elements. Three-heat switch allows three wattage ranges per thermostat setting.

Infinite (Variable) Control with Three-Heat Switch designed for use on steel drums and pails with materials that are subject to charring, burning or separation, such as food, chocolate, honey, light oils, and undercoating materials. These heaters do not have a thermostat and will not automatically reach and hold a given temperature. Infinite control operates within each of three wattage ranges for closer heat control.

Plastic Drum Heater with Pre-Set (Non-adjustable) Thermostat designed for heating materials in high density polyethylene drums and pails. Thermostat is factory set; will not exceed the maximum plastic-safe temperature of 165 degrees F recommended by many plastic drum manufacturers. Simple on-off power control.

AGM, TRX and SRX series are not for use with lined steel drums or plastic drums.

Note: NEMA plug 5-15 P is a standard three prong plug.

Tempco flexible drum heaters are the economical choice for heating viscous liquids stored in a drum or pail. The heaters are built to be tough, long lasting, and resistant to chemicals. Few materials stick to the heater's silicone rubber fiberglass reinforced construction, making it easy to clean. Use one heater on the lower third of the drum or pail or attach more heaters to the container to increase wattage and speed up the heating process. A six foot cord with three-pronged plug is included with 120V heaters. No plug is included with 240V heaters. When not in use, the heater can be rolled for convenient storage.

Note: 240V heaters for 5 gal. pails, 15 & 30 gallon drums, and heaters without thermostats are available by special order.

Tight sealing bung-entering mixer prevents evaporation during mixing

Series 91 agitators provide a nearly air tight seal by threading directly into standard 2" NPT bung hole. The mount is permanently angled to achieve the optimum mixing position. Collapsible propellers allow for easy installation, unfold to the diameters specified in the table below. Direct drive models are ideal for thinner liquids. Gear-drive models handle thicker liquids.
