Open-Head/Tight-Head Drum Lifter

One of the most versatile drum lifters available

Use with standard 55 & 30 gallon steel or plastic drums with 3/16" chime
1,000 lb. maximum capacity

Three-point contact of the lifting arms minimizes deformation of the drum and provides more secure lifting. Unit is shipped at the 55 gallon drum setting with clevis pin in the outer hole of the lifter arms. For 30 gallon drums, remove the hair pin and clevis pin and reinstall in the inner hole of the lifter arms. Lower the unit onto drum, making sure that all three lifting arms overhang the rim of the drum. Lift, while assuring that all three arms are in contact with the drum rim and continue lifting to the desired height. Use with hoist or convert your forklift to operate as a hoist by adding item STH-456 or DTH10-20.

Drum and Pail Lifters for Tight Spaces

Model 92-5 is designed for lifting 11” – 15” diameter pails.

Model 92-SS is constructed of electro-polished T304 stainless steel and is ideal for food processing or pharmaceutical applications.

Spark-Resistant Drum Lifter with Monel metal jaws and lifting eye for handling 18"-26" diameter steel drums is available through special order. Call Customer Service at 1.800.776.3786 for details.

Note: Plastic and fiber drums must have a top rim. Open-head drums must have a drum cover that is securely attached.

The Drum Web minimizes the hazards associated with opening or handling open-top drums with rolling rings that may be pressurized. Model 42S drum sling can be used with a hoist hook or fork mounted hook. The chain sling lifter hooks are shaped to engage the rims at opposite ends of drum. Super strong unit has forged hooks, alloy chain, heavy duty steel links and lifting rings and welded lifting eyes. Durable painted finish. Two lifting modes. Off-Vertical enables upending and downending of drum. Horizontal Mode lifts drum from horizontal position without changing the horizontal orientation.

Handles closed head steel drum, even if deheaded

These unique high capacity drum lifters are great for handling scrap-filled drums. Clamp drops onto drum chime and is held by self-tightening spring loaded cam. The greater the load, the tighter the grip. Clamp will not damage the bead of the drum. High strength drop forged jaws have a 7/8" opening.

Note: When using lifter 252, drum diameter must be between 17-1/2” and 25” (30 and 55 gallon drums).
